Kurashiki's Kojima district has been famous for producing high-quality cotton fabrics since the Edo Period(1603-1868). Tatami-beri(tatami mat trim) that is also woven in this area is highly regarded for its quality. These new mini tatami mats feature Magatama pattern tatami-beri trim on the long sides woven by a tatami-beri maker whose history dates back to the first year of the Meiji Era(1868)roughly 150 years ago. Available in your choice: cherry blossom pink, indigo, black, dark green, and light blue.
